INDEPENDENCE STORE
Shipping Policy
Effective: 9 September 2026
This policy explains dispatch, delivery charges, tracking and what to do when a delivery is delayed, damaged or missing.
Where we deliver
We deliver to addresses within Australia where our carriers and suppliers provide service. Some products cannot be delivered to PO boxes, parcel lockers, offshore islands or certain remote areas. We may contact you to arrange another address or quote additional freight.
Shipping charges
Shipping is calculated at checkout, quoted separately or confirmed after review for bulky, heavy, remote, special-handling or supplier-direct items. If the displayed charge is materially incorrect, we will contact you before dispatch. You may accept the revised charge or cancel for a full refund before dispatch.
Dispatch and delivery estimates
Timeframes shown on product pages, order confirmations or quotes are estimates unless we expressly agree to a firm date. Orders may ship in separate consignments. Delays can arise from supplier availability, carrier disruption, weather, access limitations or public holidays. We will provide updates when reasonably available.
Authority to leave and safe access
Where you authorise unattended delivery, the carrier may leave the parcel in a place it considers safe. Consider whether this is suitable for valuable, medical or mobility products. You must provide accurate delivery details and safe access. Redelivery, address-correction or storage charges caused by incorrect details or unavailable access may be charged where lawful.
Inspection on arrival
Inspect goods promptly. For visible damage, photograph the item, carton, labels and internal packaging before disposal. Do not assemble or use an item that appears unsafe. Report damage, missing parts or an incorrect item as soon as practical.
Delayed or missing deliveries
A tracking scan marked “delivered” does not automatically end our review. Contact us if you have not received the order. We may ask you to check safe places and household members while we investigate with the carrier or supplier. We will provide any remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Risk and title
Nothing in this policy transfers to you a risk that the law requires us to retain. Ownership passes when full payment is received, subject to any non-excludable legal rights.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. This policy does not limit any right to a remedy where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee.
